07 December 2023 News On December 7, an extraordinary general meeting of members of the Union of Food Ingredient Manufacturers (UFIM) was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. International Exhibition Company "MVK", being an official member of SPPI, represented by Deputy General Director Raisa Gazaryan, Director of Global Ingredients Show Elena Meshcheriakova, Head of Marketing Department Olga Larionova and Business Program Manager Evgenia Kryazheva took part in this community event. Within the framework of the general meeting, the general report of the directorate on the results of activities for 2023 was presented and the priority directions of SPPI activities until 2030 were approved. Within the thematic track "Regulatory issues in the focus of ingredient production: mechanisms and tools, barriers and opportunities" the topical issues of the industry were discussed: Market Situation Screening and Regulatory Measures 2023. AIC exports in new conditions: current support measures, expansion of preferences and export geography. Food machinery: assessment of the market situation 2023 and opportunities for growth 2024. How state support for development and localization works. Review of changes in the EAEU legislation on the topical issues of technical regulations for food products, food ingredients and related areas of regulation. Representatives of federal executive authorities and industry associations were invited to participate in the meeting: Department of Food and Processing Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Federal State Budgetary Institution "Agroexport", Department of Chemical Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Department of Agricultural, Food and Construction and Road Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Association "Rosspetsmash", Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission of the EAEU.
