25 December 2023 News Roman Dulesov, Vice President of Nizhpharm (one of the production sites of STADA Group), in an interview with Irada Sadraeva, journalist of RBC news portal, shared the results of the STADA Health Report 2023 study with regard to a sample of about 2 thousand Russians. In particular, the study revealed a high level of consumption of dietary supplements: as it turned out, 42% of the surveyed compatriots take dietary supplements on a regular basis, and this figure is higher among women - 55% versus 28% for men. According to the survey, the composition of supplements, namely the presence of specific elements required by a given person, is of crucial importance for Russian buyers. About 42% of consumers of dietary supplements are focused on achieving such effects as immunity support, improving the results of training, reducing stress and improving sleep; 36% seek to solve a specific problem, for example, to reduce cholesterol or relieve inflammation in the joints. Vitamin and mineral complexes are chosen by 55% of respondents, 45% prefer mono-vitamins. The most popular vitamin is vitamin C, which is associated with the request to strengthen immunity. Recommendations are of great importance when choosing a particular dietary supplement for Russians - about half of respondents rely on them, while a third consult a doctor, pharmacist or friends.
