On 5 June, the exhibition industry celebrates the Global Exhibition Day (GED - Global Exhibition Day). This professional holiday was established in 2016 by Sergey Alexeev, First Vice-President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF). The initiative to create GED is aimed at drawing attention to the importance of the congress and exhibition industry, strengthening international co-operation and stimulating economic growth of regions and countries.
Despite the change of eras and global changes, the value of live communication and face-to-face meetings remains unchanged.
"In the current geopolitical and economic instability, exhibitions have become a strategic tool for strengthening international and regional ties. The share of the congress and exhibition industry in the country's GDP is 3%. Last year alone, 50 million business contacts and 5.5 million visitors were registered at exhibitions in Russia. These figures speak for themselves. We, in our turn, annually organise more than 40 exhibitions and conferences in different cities of Russia, providing thousands of companies with an opportunity to make their business more successful and visible", - said Alexander Shtalenkov, MVK General Director.
We congratulate our partners and participants on the World Exhibitions Day! We wish the new exhibition year to become even more fruitful and inspiring. Participate in exhibitions, meet in the real world, be successful!
