Bashkiria increased exports of sunflower and rapeseed oil to China in 2025

Exports of unrefined sunflower and rapeseed oil from Bashkiria to China increased significantly by the end of 2025: total shipments exceeded 36 thousand tons, more than doubling compared to the previous year.

From January to December 31, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Bashkortostan controlled 21,441 thousand tons of unrefined sunflower oil prepared by oil extraction enterprises in the region for export to China.

In accordance with the requirements of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China, product samples were taken from all 966 flexitanks. Entomological and herbological examinations conducted at the Bashkir Testing Laboratory did not reveal any dangerous quarantine organisms. The oil is recognized as meeting the requirements of the Chinese side.

As a result of the control, 966 phytosanitary certificates were issued. For comparison, during the same period of 2024, 9.424 thousand tons of sunflower oil were exported from Bashkiria to China.

In addition, for the entire year 2025, 14,659 thousand tons of unrefined rapeseed oil were exported from the Republic of Bashkortostan to China under the supervision of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the results of inspections for rapeseed oil, 676 phytosanitary certificates were issued. In 2024, the volume of rapeseed oil exports from Bashkiria to China amounted to 8,817 thousand tons. The increase in supplies confirms the strengthening of Bashkiria's position as one of the regions supplying fat and oil products to the Chinese market.
