Russia has retained its leadership in chocolate supplies to Uzbekistan

21 January 2026
In January–November 2025, Uzbekistan imported 19.1 thousand tons of chocolate and chocolate products, which is 19.9% less than in the same period last year. The decrease was also recorded in monetary terms: the volume of imports amounted to $66.2 million.

At the same time, Russia has retained the status of a key external supplier in the category of chocolate products. During the reporting period, Russian companies supplied about 14 thousand tons of chocolate to the republic, which corresponds to 73.3% of the total imports of this category.

According to the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan, the share of Russian confectionery products on the shelves of the republic's stores reaches 90%.

Currently, a wide variety of Russian goods are widely represented in Uzbek retail chains.

"The Russian Federation offers a good combination of price, quality and logistics, which makes it possible to maintain its position even against the background of competition from China and other countries," said the trade representative of the Russian Federation.
