BioGrowing will present Lactiplantibacillus plantarum J26 at the Global Ingredients Show 2026: a scientifically proven probiotic strain for weight management

20 April 2026
As consumer demand for evidence-based weight management solutions continues to grow, BioGrowing Co., Ltd. will spotlight its Flora-Focus® star strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum J26 at the Global Ingredients Show 2026.

Isolated from traditional fermented yogurt made by herdsmen in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, J26 has been the subject of more than 20 years of continuous research, supported by 8 granted patents and more than 30 scientific publications.

J26 supports weight and metabolic health through four distinct mechanisms. At the endocrine level, it helps modulate GLP-1 levels and balance leptin and adiponectin secretion, supporting appetite regulation and metabolic homeostasis. At the gut level, it promotes short-chain fatty acid production to build a healthier intestinal microenvironment. At the adipose tissue level, research shows it can reduce white adipocyte volume and induce white-to-brown fat conversion, actively driving energy expenditure.

Additionally, J26 has been shown to significantly reduce hepatic fat accumulation, addressing abdominal obesity at its metabolic source.

Available in both live probiotic and postbiotic forms, J26 offers outstanding formulation flexibility — suitable for capsules, soft gels, beverages, yogurt, coffee, and baked goods. The postbiotic form delivers comparable metabolic benefits with superior processing stability, broadening its application across heat-sensitive manufacturing processes.

J26 can also be integrated into BioGrowing's BioGuard® starter culture range, enabling brand partners to develop weight management yogurt products that combine sensory quality with metabolic health functionality.

Alongside J26, BioGrowing highlights two further star strains from its Flora-Focus® 9 health solution series.

Lacticaseibacillus paracasei LPc-G110 addresses the growing oral health category, with published research supporting its efficacy in reducing oral sulfide concentrations, inhibiting periodontal pathogens, and improving gingival health markers — available in innovative delivery formats including probiotic lozenges.

For women's intimate health, Lactobacillus crispatus Lc-G22 supports vaginal microbiome balance by inhibiting Candida spp. and Gardnerella vaginalis, offering brand partners a clinically relevant ingredient for the fast-growing femcare segment. The full platform also spans gut health, immune support, allergy relief, liver protection, blood sugar management, and respiratory health. Full ODM/CDMO support is available for product development and scale-up.

Visit the BioGrowing stand (A313) at the Global Ingredients Show from April 28 to 30 at the Crocus Expo.
