3 June – Global Exhibition Day: a celebration for those who are creating the future today

03 June 2026

Exactly ten years ago, in June 2016, the exhibition industry gained its own official holiday – Global Exhibition Day. The initiative came from our compatriot Sergey Alekseev, First Vice-President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), and was supported by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). For an entire decade now, industry professionals around the world have been celebrating their holiday.

"We are convinced that exhibitions work not only for immediate, on-the-spot results. Exhibitions are about market development, about the live exchange of experience, about the energy that launches new projects and new meanings. Exhibitions are the meeting point where the future of an industry is assembled. That is why they work in any conditions: the future does not tolerate pauses. This means that exhibitions were, are, and will remain the primary meeting place for those who think one step ahead," comments Alexander Shtalenkov, CEO of MVK.

On Global Exhibition Day, we give thanks to everyone who, together with the event teams, participates in the process of creating the industries of tomorrow: exhibitors, visitors, partners, and experts. Thanks to you, exhibitions remain a true territory of dialogue, collaboration, and breakthrough solutions.

Keep participating, keep declaring your plans and ambitions – and may you be successful.
