06 May 2025

From 15 to 17 April 2025, Crocus Expo IEC hosted the 27th International Exhibition of Ingredients, Raw Materials, and Equipment for Their Production – Global Ingredients Show.

This year, the exhibition featured 228 companies from Russia, India, Iran, the UAE, China, and Belarus.

Global Ingredients Show welcomed 3,310 professionals – a 62% increase compared to last year – with 65% attending for the first time. The majority (94%) were from Russia, while 6% represented international businesses from China, Belarus, India, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and other countries.

Visitors included representatives from specialised trade enterprises and companies involved in the production of food and beverages, cosmetics, perfumes, and dietary supplements. Senior management accounted for 64% of all attendees.

As part of the exhibition, the “Ingredients and Additives” forum was held across two stages, attracting over 500 attendees. A total of 103 speakers took the floor – including representatives of professional associations, businesses, research centres, industry enterprises, and public authorities. The event programme was tailored to the interests of specialists from various fields and divided into themed tracks focused on food products, cosmetics and perfumery, and dietary supplements.

The forum became the central event of the exhibition, where industry experts addressed current issues in the production and application of ingredients and additives in food, cosmetics, and supplements. Key topics included consumer market trends, the concept of “clean label” products, safety solutions, product range management in highly competitive environments, foreign trade, and many more.

The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Biotech2030 Technology Platform, and the Union of Dietary Supplements Producers.
The general industry partner of the exhibition was the Food Ingredients Producers Union (SPPI).

At the opening ceremony, Daria Shevyakina, Deputy Director of the Department of Chemical Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, emphasised the importance of Global Ingredients Show for the implementation of national projects: “It is a pleasure to take part in this event, as it focuses on the development of a segment that is currently underdeveloped and is a priority within both the national project ‘New Materials and Chemistry’ and the national project ‘Bioeconomy’, which we are currently working on”.

What makes this exhibition valuable is its highly targeted audience – people come here specifically looking for ingredients.”

Alexander Knyazev, General Director of GMK LAB, noted visitors' interest in their products: “We produce hymatomelanic acid, fulvic acid, and humic acid – all derived from peat. These are used in dietary supplements and cosmetics. Over two days, we received feedback from potential clients and saw strong interest from dietary supplement manufacturers. Large companies approached us, asked for samples, and I believe the exhibition will give our business a great push forward.”

Global Ingredients Show serves as a compass for the ingredients market, indicating the direction in which the sector is moving. For us, it's a valuable opportunity to listen to experts, share our developments, and most importantly, receive feedback from peers and potential partners. It's a major professional event that helps us stay in tune with the industry.”
